Faith is embedded within the heart and culture of our school drawing a strong sense of integrity. This faith enables students to respect the dignity and inestimable worth of each and every person.
St Catherine’s School is inspired and informed by the Dominican Charism and the Dominican motto ‘Veritas’ which refers to our desire to seek and embrace truth, and what is right and just.
We enjoy a strong partnership with the Adelaide Hills Catholic Parish and St Matthew’s Church which is located close to St Catherine’s School in Bridgewater.
Our sacramental program provides an opportunity for students to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion through a parish led and school supported partnership.
Masses and Liturgies are regularly held at St Catherine’s School.
All students attend these celebrations of faith, with each class having multiple opportunities to lead and become involved in Masses and Liturgies. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend and share in these occasions.
Through Catholic social justice teachings, our students are supported in becoming moral, compassionate, generous and ecologically aware community members.
Our students are empowered to transform their world and uphold dignity for all through various social justice programs each term including Project Compassion, Vinnies Winter Appeal and the Catholic Charities Appeal.
