St Catherine’s School is a small school with a BIG heart.
We welcome students from Reception to Year 6 into our small parish school in Stirling in the Adelaide Hills.
Inspired by the Dominican tradition, our Catholic faith is interwoven into who we are as a school community driving our school values of Respect, Commitment, Sustainability, Honesty and Compassion. Our school also reflects the values and ideals revered in the wider Adelaide Hills community.
At St Catherine’s School we recognise that knowing children personally results in better academic results. In our small school community, each teacher knows every child, and the children know each other. Combining this caring and accepting environment with excellent pedagogical practice, our learning programs encourage collaboration, creative and critical thinking, along with promoting lifelong learning.
Our students, families and staff are also active agents of ecological sustainability. Sustainability informs our teaching, learning and decision making to help students to think and act in ways that lead to a more equitable and sustainable future.

St Catherine’s School was established in 1947 by sisters of the Dominican Order of the Holy Cross Province responding to the desire of local parishioners to have access to high quality Catholic schooling for their children.
To honour our Dominican heritage, we strive to be visionary. We strive to recognise, enhance and nurture the natural curiosity and desire to learn that is within each person. We are active in social justice and ecological sustainability. We are a place of welcome, equity and inclusion for all.
